On January 9, 2025, Pelita Global Mandiri Kindergarten hosted an exciting and interactive event titled “Holiday Around the World”. This special activity was designed to introduce young students to different cultures and the joy of traveling, broadening their horizons in a fun and engaging way. The event was attended by all PG-KG students, homeroom teachers, and subject teachers, making it a lively and memorable occasion.

The highlight of the event was the creative role-playing session, where several teachers took on the roles of Miss Universe representatives from different countries. Dressed in vibrant costumes, they introduced the children to the traditions, famous landmarks, and unique aspects of various nations. This fun-filled presentation not only sparked curiosity but also allowed the students to gain a better understanding of different cultures around the world.

Adding to the excitement, a group of selected students enthusiastically shared their own experiences of traveling to different places, showcasing their knowledge and storytelling skills. Their stories of adventure and discovery brought smiles to the audience, inspiring their friends to dream about exploring the world one day.

In addition to these engaging presentations, the event encouraged students to embrace the value of travel—not just as a way to visit new places but also as a means to refresh the mind, rejuvenate the soul, and strengthen bonds with loved ones. A meaningful quote from the event beautifully captured this idea:

“Travel anywhere your heart desires, so that your body and soul feel refreshed. Love yourself and cherish your family—that is what truly matters.”

Through this Holiday Around the World event, Pelita Global Mandiri Kindergarten successfully fostered a spirit of curiosity, cultural appreciation, and global awareness among its young learners. It was a delightful and educational experience that left both students and teachers inspired, joyful, and eager for future adventures.
