On August 2, 2025, Pelita Global Mandiri Elementary School hosted a vibrant Market Day event at the school’s fourth-floor field. The event was attended by all students from grades 1 to 6, as well as their parents and guardians, who were joined by homeroom teachers and the entire teaching staff.
Market Day provided a platform for students to enhance their creativity and communication skills while learning about entrepreneurship. Each student participated by setting up their own stalls, selling a variety of handmade goods, snacks, and other items. The experience was not just about sales, but also about developing teamwork, problem-solving, and public speaking skills as students interacted with customers—both their peers and parents.
The money earned from the sales was collected and will be used to fund special end-of-year prizes for the students, making it even more exciting and rewarding.
The event was a great success, allowing students to apply practical business skills and connect with the school community in a meaningful way. By the end of the day, the students not only learned valuable lessons about commerce but also gained a sense of achievement and teamwork.
