On February 5, 2025, a group of talented kindergarten students from Pelita Global Mandiri participated in the annual Pekan Olahraga dan Seni (PORSENI) event, organized by the IGTK Kota Bekasi, held at Ancol. This exciting event brought together students from various schools to compete in both sports and arts activities, offering an incredible opportunity for young learners to showcase their skills and build confidence.
The Pelita Global Mandiri Kindergarten team consisted of 12 students—6 from KG1 (Khalid, Felicia, Ayesha, Beverly, Claretha, Zalfa) and 6 from KG2 (Azzura, Queenara, Fillio, Grizelle, Atharizz, Cia)—along with two dedicated teachers, Ms. Nadhifah and Ms. Haidah, who accompanied the students throughout the event.
The PORSENI competition was an excellent platform for the students to demonstrate their physical abilities and artistic talents. It also played a key role in boosting their courage and self-confidence as they engaged in various competitive activities. The students had the chance to participate in a variety of events, including relay races, basketball, and rope jumping.
The results were impressive:
- KG1 students won 2nd place in the water relay, 2nd place in the basketball competition, and 3rd place in the rope jumping event.
- KG2 students excelled by winning 1st place in the water relay, 3rd place in the basketball competition, and 3rd place in the rope jumping event.
“Our students were very excited and enthusiastic throughout the entire event,” said Ms. Nadhifah, the event coordinator. “It was amazing to see them compete with so much energy and sportsmanship. Their achievements reflect their hard work and dedication.”
The PORSENI event not only provided a platform for the students to showcase their talents but also taught them valuable lessons in teamwork, perseverance, and discipline. The experience has left a lasting impression on the students, helping them grow both personally and as a team.
