On December 11, 2024, a group of 11 individuals, consisting of 6 teachers and 5 students (from OSIS), from Pelita Global Mandiri visited Yayasan Galuh for a special charity event in celebration of Christmas. This event, held at Yayasan Galuh, aimed to provide support and blessings to those in need, particularly the patients and staff at the foundation.
The event was attended by both the management of Yayasan Galuh and the patients residing there. Due to the nature of their conditions, not all patients could join the event in person, as some were unable to leave their rooms due to psychological health considerations. However, the spirit of the occasion was still shared with all who could participate.
The school’s visit was a gesture of solidarity, as Pelita Global Mandiri staff and students wanted to offer encouragement and share the Christmas blessings with the people at Yayasan Galuh. The team from PGM spent quality time with the patients and staff, bringing cheer and support to the foundation.
During the event, Bapak Ajat, the head of Yayasan Galuh, shared his insights as the representative of the foundation, while Mr. Josh, a school representative from PGM, spoke to the attendees on behalf of the school. Both speakers expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the welfare of the Yayasan Galuh community.
“It is always heartwarming to give back to the community, and this event was a wonderful opportunity to spread love and joy,” said Mr. Josh. “We hope that our visit brought comfort and cheer to everyone at Yayasan Galuh.”
The charity event not only offered tangible support to the patients at Yayasan Galuh but also reinforced the values of empathy, compassion, and community involvement among the students and teachers of Pelita Global Mandiri. This heartwarming event was an opportunity to remind everyone of the true spirit of Christmas—giving, sharing, and spreading joy to others in need.
