SMP Pelita Global Mandiri once again achieves distinction in enriching the educational experiences of its students through the Live-in Desa Leuwimalang activity, held from February 5th to 7th, 2024. Situated amidst captivating mountains, lush rice fields, and mesmerizing waterfalls, this activity served as a valuable moment for students to gain profound insights into rural life.
With blazing spirits, over 20 students from SMP Pelita Global Mandiri participated in this event, alongside dedicated supervising teachers. They not only explored the natural beauty surrounding Desa Leuwimalang but also engaged in various practical learning activities involving the local community.
Over the course of three days, students took part in farming activities in the verdant fields, learning about traditional agricultural techniques from the wise local farmers. They also had the opportunity to grasp the importance of environmental sustainability through tree planting and riverbank clean-up activities.
However, unforgettable experiences were not the only takeaway from this event. Students also interacted with the local residents, deepening their understanding of the culture and daily life in the countryside. Through discussions and shared activities, they learned to appreciate cultural diversity and experienced the warmth and hospitality of the people of Desa Leuwimalang.
