On December 5, 2024, Pelita Global Mandiri Kindergarten hosted an exciting and educational event titled “Animal Around Us”, aimed at introducing young children to the animals that live in their surroundings. The event, held at the PGM School campus, involved 80 students out of the 139 total students in the PG & KG classes, making it a lively and engaging experience for the children.
The primary goal of the event was to foster awareness and understanding of the various animals found around us, helping children develop a deeper connection with the natural world. Through fun and interactive activities, the children learned about different animals, their habits, and their importance in the environment.
One of the highlights of the event was an Art & Craft session where students worked on projects related to the life cycles of animals. The children were encouraged to explore and illustrate the stages of growth and development in animals they encounter in their daily lives. This hands-on activity allowed students to express their creativity while learning valuable lessons about the natural world.
Ms. Fitra, the event coordinator, expressed her thoughts on the day’s success:
“The children were so excited to learn about the animals and their life cycles. They enjoyed the craft activities and took great pride in their creations. It was wonderful to see how engaged and eager they were to learn about the animals in our environment.”
This event was not only a fun and creative learning experience but also an opportunity for the young learners to gain a deeper appreciation for the animals around them. By engaging in these activities, children were able to develop a sense of responsibility and care for the environment, all while having fun with their peers. The event reinforced Pelita Global Mandiri Kindergarten’s commitment to providing hands-on, interactive learning experiences that help nurture well-rounded and environmentally conscious children.
